Orbital ATK is currently seeking aSenior Assembler tojoin our team inChandler, AZ.

Using documented work instructions and engineering drawings, perform a variety of electronic and electro/mechanical assembly operations on moderate to complex assemblies and sub-assemblies used in the Aerospace industry. Assembler will perform wiring/cabling, component installation (both SMT and through hole type), and replace components on circuit card assemblies (CCA’s). Work includes mechanical assembly of modules and housings by inserting CCA’s, potting, and applying torque as required. Identify problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and propose solutions. Most work is performed under microscope or other magnifying device.

Required experience and Education:

  • Knowledge of ESD and FOD Control

  • Understand and interpret engineering drawings, written instructions, parts lists, and schematics.

  • Current IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies (Required)

  • Current J-STD-001 Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies (required)

  • Current IPC-7711/IPC-7721 Rework and Repair of Electronic Assemblies (required)

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • 4 years of experience

Preferred experience

Familiar with potting and staking compounds
