Orbital ATK is currently seeking a Sr. Administrative Specialist to join our team at our Chandler, AZ facility.


The Executive Sr. Administrative Specialist anticipates and facilitates administrative support and clerical needs in order to contribute to the effective operation of the organizations executive leaders. Work assignments require considerable initiative, gatekeeping, accuracy, timeliness and managing difficult schedules under limited supervision.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide administrative support to top executives in a fast paced aerospace manufacturing environment.

  • Create neat and accurate correspondence, forms, reports, spreadsheets, presentations, etc. from notes or handwritten copy and maintain all related files

  • Manage and maintain executives’ calendars and schedules – including anticipating potential meetings slips and manage all changes

  • Manage executive conference room schedules

  • Schedule meetings, track action items and coordinate technical reviews

  • Ensure appropriate meeting preparations are made (coordination of call in number, meeting materials, etc.) for both internal and external meetings

  • Screen and initiate phone calls

  • Coordinate travel arrangements (both Domestic and International) and process expense reports

  • File and retrieve corporate documents, records and reports

  • Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email

  • Compose responses to routine inquiries

  • Assist in compiling weekly leadership status reports

  • Maintain department metric status and visual boards

  • Interact in a positive way with other staff members and be a leader, role model and team player with the administrative team

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications; including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook.

  • High school diploma required; some college is a plus.

  • Minimum ten years of professional executive support experience

  • Must have highest level of integrity and be able to maintain confidences with utmost discretion.

  • Ability to work routine jobs with limited supervision.

  • Ability to be proactive and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and handle multiple tasks and managers in a fast-paced office environment.

  • Must be articulate and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must have excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of government customers is a plus.

  • Previous experience in aerospace or manufacturing environment a plus.
